Netflix releases so far this December

Image
Source: TriStar Pictures Netflix loves December and no exception this year. Only four days into the month Netflix has added a good number of movies to their inventory. These new inclusions vary from movies like critically acclaimed Shaun of the Dead , 80's cult film The Last Dragon or soon to be remade Hellboy . Also as I mentioned in a previous post   The Big Lebowski has returned to Netflix too. Out of them, below is a selected list with the criteria of having at least 6.5 ratings on IMDb. One exception to this is Astro Boy , a 3D animated movie based on one of my favorite Japanese anime classic by the same name. So here are the movies made to my list that were added to Netflix between December 1st and 4th, 2018 . Mind you the list is sorted by IMDb rank. The Big Lebowski Released: March 6, 1998 R / 1h 57min IMDb: 8.1 / RT: 82% Watch on Netflix Shaun of the Dead Released: September 24, 2004 R / 1h 39min IMDb: 7.9 / RT: 92% Watch on Netflix

Coen Brothers Film Festival on Netflix

Image
Source: Netflix Coen Brothers and Netflix is a match made in heaven. The latest Netflix original movie The Ballad of Buster Scruggs is the perfect gift for the season for me. It's like reading a book of short stories yet better. Without a doubt Coen Brothers ( Joel Coen and Ethan Coen ) delivers it as a beautiful American western narrative. This being a Netflix original means anyone with a subscription around the world can watch it. I think Coen Brothers and Netflix is a perfect combination. But wait, does it end there? Well it's not. Netflix has few more beloved Coen Brother's creations available as listed below as of November 26, 2018 . No Country for Old Men Released: November 9, 2007 R / 2h 2min IMDb: 8.1 / RT: 93% Watch on Netflix Burn After Reading Released: September 12, 2008 R / 1h 36min IMDb: 7.0 / RT: 78% Watch on Netflix A Serious Man Released: September 6, 2009 R / 1h 46min IMDb: 7.0 / RT: 89% Watch on Netflix

Fan made Marvel Cinematic Universe TV series is available!

Image
Source: Marvel Studios Yes it may sound like a joke. But it is very much real. Marvel's TV shows on Netflix haven't been so promising lately due to the cancellation of multiple shows. To tell you the truth, I wasn't a big fan of their TV shows anyway. We lately brought you a list of MCU movies available for streaming on Netflix right now . However, this story is not about the Marvel Cinematic Universe shows on Netflix. A hardcore fan, Samuel Masters has edited all six movies from MCU phase one into a TV series. From the inception of the cinematic universe the Iron Man (2008) all the way to The Avengers (2012) is now available to download as a 12 episode TV series, around 40 minute for each episode from his website . The total run time of all six movies is approximately 12 and a half hours but Samuel Masters TV series is only half of that. Which makes it more interesting to watch how he has lined up the story line and what's been chopped off from the original

Free movies on Vudu against the odds

Image
vudu.com Vudu has a bunch of classic films from 80's, 90's through 2000's available for free to stream, of course they come with ads. The collection includes beloved classics like The Terminator (1984), Rocky (1 to 5), The Karate Kid (1984). It also includes new pretty new movies like Still Alice (2014), Paper Planes (2014) and  The Ides of March (2011). You do need a Vudu account to watch them but no surprise there. I found two separate ways to navigate to these free movies. One is the Vudu's Free: Against the Odds page but also if you go to Movies section from the main menu there's a filter to check labeled as " Free Movies Only ". Let me know your thoughts in the comments section about watching free movies from services like Vudu with ads. Do the random ads in the middle of the movie distract your movie experience or you actually don't care since it's free. Happy streaming everyone! - Flixter

How to stream all Pirates of the Caribbean movies

Image
Source: pirates.disney.com The beloved Jack Sparrow, I mean "Captain" Jack Sparrow, is making news again. That's not because there's another Pirate of the Caribbean sequel in the development, but there has been reports about rebooting  the franchise. The idea is still in early stages, although Disney has been talking to Deadpool writers Rhett Reese  and  Paul Wernick  about it. So what could this means to the real captain of the show Johnny Depp ? It's too early to tell. Disney is keeping  Jerry Bruckheimer as the producer for the reboot as well. Nobody still doesn't know if this is a soft or complete reboot of the franchise. Did this news surfacing made you think about watching all five Pirate of the Caribbean movies? Fear not, Netflix carry three of the five as of November 12, 2018 . And I'll link you to the best options to stream the other two as well. The Curse of the Black Pearl Released: July 9, 2003 PG-13 / 2h 23min IMDb

Marvel movies you can stream on Netflix right now

Image
Source: Marvel Studios Marvel has been a friendly partner to Netflix when it comes to content providing. Among Marvel's animated movies and TV series, Netflix carry a good number of MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) movies too. We know there's a big uncertainty lying around this relationship though, mainly because of the new Disney streaming service, Disney+ . Once Disney+ is launched in late 2019, media report that Marvel Studios might pull their movies from Netflix in order to enrich their own streaming service. Not to forget the Disney's acquisition of 21st Century Fox in this discussion too. This means Hulu, arguably the biggest rival to Netflix, will also be a part of the Disney family. But we don't know much about those plans yet. The good news is that none of these will happen before the Avengers 4 next summer. Which means we can binge-watch the MCU movies listed below over and over before we go and see Avengers 4 in the big screen. Having said all t

So it begins...

Source: Netflix I had a need. A need that I believe many of us have. It’s about having one place where I can find the best and cheaper ways to find movies on streaming services. Like me, I believe most of you are movie buffs. Like me, most of you already are on more than one video streaming services, paying monthly subscriptions. Also like me, when you feel like watching a movie without a good idea what to watch, sitting on your couch and browsing up and down those lists for hours until you get bored must not be news to you. Have you ever wished if you can find lists of movies with where they can be streamed in one place? Even if you know the movie you are going to watch, haven’t you wished that there was an easier way to find out the best cheaper option. Is it available on a streaming service you’ve subscribed to? Netflix? Hulu? Or is it on Amazon Prime Video because you are already paying for Amazon Prime but never bothered to check out Prime Video? Or are you willing to re
